Virtual ip cluster windows redirect to passive node instead active node

Hi my friends
In my case is installed failover cluster instance that sql role is added in windows failover cluster with active/passive mode.
when i connect to the servers with virtual ip cluster i only connect to one of them while i should connect to the active node . what should i do ?

Any help is appriciated.

In FCI, sql service will be running on only one node at a time. You will get connected to the node which is running the sql services.
You can check the active node from failover cluster manager.
