My IA Manager said when upgrading SQL Server 2012, we have the option of going to SQL Sever 2016 Enterprise or SQL Sever 2016 Enterprise Core. I never used Core before. Is it the same thing and the only difference is unlimited licensing (CALs) ? I did alot of Google searches on it, and the only thing I could find was something about limited licencing with the non Core version, and upgrading from non-Core to Core is fairly simple?
