Hi i want to know the difference betwen an sql cluster installation ( i have made it on 2008) and Always On FCI on 2014
AlwaysON is the new technology which is used on top of clustering.
A cluster is the pre requisite to implement AlwaysON.
All the machines involved in AlwaysON should be part of the same cluster.
