How do I handle the extra spacing when I export my rdl to Excel? I am currently have to clean up the extra columns because of the spacing of the excel everytime when I export the rdl (SSRS) to Excel.

You might post a screenshot of your report in design view and the Excel output. But, if you are getting a column before the data, I have found that I have not moved the Tablix completely to the left which then generates an extra column.
