If I install a SQl Server instance WITHOUT a feature, such as Integration Services. Then I install SP1. Later I decide to install Integration Services. Does IS automatically inherit SP1 or do I need to reinstall SP1 and choose to apply it for IS? I think that's the case, just want to be sure. thanks
You'll need to run the service pack installer again, it will detect if SSIS or any other component needs to be updated. You'll see a screen and be able to review which options will be updated.
