so i was trying to log in using ssms but it failed the error says that server was not found error 40 and 53 and i tried RDP , it also failed. any suggestion?. thank you
where is the server located at?
The server is not local.
so where is it? can you ping it's ip address
we have different office located in different states, this particular server is in Chicago. since i coudn;t access the ssms nor RDP, i am not sure how i can ping the ip address.
in your command window type
nslookup
then type the full server name
selam.chicago.com
that should give you ip address.
vpn up and running?
Just found out it was because the power outrage in that office. thank you for the help Yosias!
