Select Date/Varchar column not in group by clause

Hi,

I have query with 60+column most of them have aggregation function like - Avg,Sum and 5 ID column used in Group by clause. Now new additional date/varchar field needs to be added to the query. But is there a workaround to date/varchar column for not being added to the group by clause.
