Remove SQL 2008 from a Windows 2008 server

Hi,

I have a production server running SQL 2012. A version of SQL 2008 is also installed on the server. Is it possible to remove the SQL 2008 server version ?

The server was as upgraded from SQL 2008 to SQL 2012 but we are experiencing issues due to the SQL 2008 version still installed

HI,
Yes, you can remove the SQL 2008 version from add/remove program, it will only remove the 2008 from the server. Ensure you check your 2012 instance afterward and make sure everything is running as expected.
