Experts, one more question for the day:
I have an (2019 Standard) unused default instance but also a named instance which is used.
If I remember correctly, I will have to first uninstall the named instance before I can uninstall the DEFAULT instance. Am I correct? Obviously, I don't want to uninstall the named instance unless I have to.

No, you do not have to uninstall the named instance at all. The Apps & Features section of Control Panel will allow you to uninstall SQL Server, and the applet will let you choose which instance to remove.
