I have a 2 node windows 2008R2 FCI with SQL server 2008 R2.
What would be the best approach to migrate this to 2 node windows server 2016 cluster with SQL server 2016 AlwaysON AG.

The approch is to migrate to one of the nodes as a stndalone instance, and then configure clustering and AG on the 2016 nodes after migration.
