an someone please guide me, I tried to install Microosft SQL Server 2012 Evaluation-64 bit on my window 10 laptop, but in the process of installation i always get an error message
Error message:-

I continued the installation and later on when i open SSMS and was trying to connect to the local server , i got an error message
ERROR MESSAGE: _
TITLE: Connect to Server
Cannot connect to (local).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2)
Thanks Rita, but that's not the log. The log is a text file produced by the installation process. The path usually shows at the bottom of the screen when you're selecting options
