I'm new to this forum and I'm desperately looking for help. I'm new to SQL Server. I have SQL Server 2019 installed on my old Windows 2019 server and I have the SSMS installed on my windows client PC. I'm able to connect to the SQL server using windows authentication mode, but it tells me I don't have permissions to add a new database, or that I don't have permissions to add a new login either.
I installed SQL Server 2019 on my client PC and connected SSMS locally, but I still have the same issue. Its telling me I don''t have the permissions to create a new database or even a new login account. What do I need to do so I can have the rights to create a new database and/or a new login account?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
