Confusing in SQL server and SQL Server compatible script

I have googled and read many articles but still confusing about SQL Server compatible script.
Can anybody explain me what is SQL Server compatible script and it is related to SQL Server and also i want to know where it runs?

A SQL Server compatible script would be one that restricts itself to the subset of SQL supported by SQL Server -- that is T-SQL.
