Configuration Database

Hi All,

I am a new member, so please be gentle with me as I know Nothing about SQL.

So Why I am here, I hear you ask.. OK

I am looking to either build or have build a parts configuration tool, so via the website my client can choose the spec of a server or storage unit. I got the idea from Pickapart.com yet my searches here in the UK have been fruitless.

I am presuming this is based some kind of Database Engine that will run and potentially flag up any configuration errors

However I have no idea where to start looking.

Can anyone out there in SQL land point me in the correct direction.

I'm not sure if I fully understand you, do you mean you want to build an app that use SQL as the backend, to provide some kind of choice selection for client visiting your website?

If it is, then its more of the coding that you need help with, not SQL in this case (well a bit of DB design). I guess once you tried some of your design and having issue, we are all here more then welcome to help you, just post what your issue is and what you have tried.
