Is it possible to connect IBM Cognos to SQL Server and use SSMS query data?

Can you point me in the right direction then, Joseph? Do I use an IP address to connect? It is Cognos where the data is on a cloud server.

SSMS won't connect to Cognos directly. It is the Enterprise Manger for SQL Server now. Cognos can connect to SQL Server though.
