I posted another version of ClearTrace just a minute ago. This should process 64-bit trace files on either x86 or x64 machines. If you have trouble please post in the ClearTrace Support Forum. Please visit the ClearTrace download page for the software. Don't forget to enter the beta code "jayhawk" to unlock the capability to save an unlimited number of traces.

is this still true:

SQL Server 2005 (any edition except Express) -or- SQL Server 2008 (any edition except Express)

Keep in mind that this forum post is from two days ago but the blog post itself is from 10 years ago.

I'd refer to this (https://www.scalesql.com/cleartrace/download.html) for what versions are supported. Basically it depends on what versions your SMO version will read. Usually the two versions previous but I've had it go further back.
