Central Management Server Setup Issues

I have a central management server
I did my server registration , under Central Management Server
I created 2 Groups under that and registered my servers
I had not errors or anything.
I go to run the Best practice policies and I am getting this error.

null value... SQL forums doesn't let me upload the image of the error yet

vague, nothing usefull at all. When I go to object explorerfor the server instance, it works fine on the single instance but I can not Import or evaluate from the Central Management Server area.

This is a BUG with upgrading SQL 2012 to SQL 2014 on a central management server with regards to the use of PBMs

Microsoft is working the issue and may or may not issue a hotfix. the workarounds\alternatives are

  1. clean install 2014, not upgrade
  2. Use a client only access from different server\desktop to access (works in 2012, 2014, 2016)
