User could not be connected to database server. Reason: Undefined

Hello Team,

We have a dot net application which uses SQL as the database.
When we are trying to login to the application we get an error as below

"User could not be connected to database server. Reason: Undefined"

To resolve this error entire server needs to be restarted. This is weird as the production is getting impacted.
Any solution to this issue is highly appreciated

Is that the exact error? Or has it been translated from a different language? I don't get any hits when I google it, so it makes me thing that's not the exact error or has been translated incorrectly.

Whats the error when you connect with management studio remotely?
