Folks, I need put sp3 on two sql servers. Server A replicates to Server B using transactional replication. Distributor and publisher on server A. What is the correct order to patch and how do I disable replication temporarily to facilitate this?

There is no correct or recommended order to patch. You also don't need to pause replication, but if you want to, you would just disable the log reader agent job.
I'd probably patch them at the same time to narrow down the maintenance window, but I don't know your environment and not sure if you'd have less downtime if only one was down at a time.
