DTSWizard failure (32 bit)

Running an upgraded Win10 (from Win7) machine on a 64 bit box.
Using SSMS 2012 and attempting to start the import wizard (Right click DB | Tasks | Import) causes a screen blink and no wizard starts. Also attempting to start the wizard from the start menu pops the dialog box up to start the import, lets me choose "flat file" then provides the message "SQL Server Import and Export Wizard has stopped working". Both events create a log entry as follows:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try reinstalling the tools plus service pack and latest CU.

Also, check to make sure the SSIS service under Services.exe is actually running. Depending on how the original install was done, this is sometimes set to "Manual" startup and any reboot or bouncing of the SQL Service can stop it.
